The kids loved the thrill of the treasure hunt, and the tennis club was an exciting highlight with fun lessons.
In my wife's opinion, the kids' club could be improved with more engaging activities for younger children.

Extensive grounds, 4 pools, plus beach. Great location provided you like walking.
We would have prefered an adult only pool. We were travelling with 2 teenage boys who like to do their own thing. While there is a childrens pool we found many of the other families based themselves around what was described as the adults pool and their children spent the time jumping in and out of the pool, so much for tranquity. Unfortunatly I did not check the cost of tennis on the hotel counts before booking. Our boys like to play 2 to 3 times per day. At 35 euro for 50 minutes play plus 10 euro to hire rackets plus the need to purchase balls we had to curtail this activity.

The hotel could improve on room service consistency as it varied from day to day.

the cleanliness of the room and the hotel staff who were all very accomodating
we had 2 power cuts, which was out of the control of the hotel, but sirens went off for some time.We also had a first floor room with occupants above who were less then sensitive and walked about in high heels until 2 pm in the morning. However I spoke to the hotel staff and this didn't happen again.

We were there to put together a design scheme for a new apartment we had recently purchased about a mile away. Puente Romano was perfect, very comfortable room, excellent food and service for a very fair price.
Nothing really.

Relaxing Getaway in Marbella
The breakfast had tons of options, loved seeing all those fresh blueberries. The room was spacious and comfy. The only bummer was the shower needed a good scrub, but otherwise, it was all good vibes. Oh, and make sure to book the restaurants in advance. They're pretty popular!

We have stayed before and wondered if it would be so good this time and it certainly was! The room and the hotel were both lovely. The staff were very friendly very helpful which is so important to us and we had a fabulous time. Particularly the restaurant staff very impressed.
The only thing which isn't really the hotel is that lots of children used the main pool quite noisy playing etc which is fine but the pool next to it which is specifically for children was completely empty and we wondered why more perhaps wasn't said to the parents when towels given out like would you like to use the childrens pool? we went to the childrens pool and it was empty!

The hotel and grounds are stunning and extremely well looked after. The rooms are lovely and we got upgraded on arrival to a beach front room - truly gorgeous!! Roberto restaurant is lovely, but pricey, nice for a special occasion
Mini bar priced 6 euros for a bottle of water ??!!
